Catholic Jewish Dialogue CenterFounded in 1993 and funded in part by the Dr. and Mrs. William Winick Symposium on Catholic-Jewish Relations its purpose is:

To promote understanding
To foster mutual appreciation and respect
To disseminate proper and accurate information in teaching about each others faith
To encourage sensitivity toward one another's traditions and beliefs

Past programs have included:

  • Catechists' workshops
  • Preparation and distribution of an educational video
  • Essay contest for high school students and poster contests for elementary school students
  • Conference for clergy on topics such as salvation, passion narratives, exploring gospel texts, the Chosen People, and teaching the Hebrew Scriptures to Catholic and Jewish youth
  • Lectures and discussions for college students on the relationship of anti-Semitism and the New Testament
