Dr. Victoria Barnett receives the Council's 2023 Shevet Achim award

At the conference of the International Council of Christians and Jews, the CCJR bestowed its 2023 Shevet Achim award on Dr. Victoria J. Barnett. One of the world’s preeminent scholars of religion and the Holocaust, as well as a leading expert on the German Protestant theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer, including editing his collected works in English, she served for many years as the Director of Programs on Ethics, Religion and the Holocaust at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. The award was presented by CCJR Chair, Rev. Dr. Kevin Spicer after a testimonial delivered by Dr. Rebecca Carter-Chand of the USHMM. The Shevet Achim award is given annually to persons who have made outstanding contributions to Jewish and Christian understanding. For further details click HERE
